The tea ceremony set "Tetsu" (jap. "iron") presents an extraordinary matcha bowl with a wavy rim inspired by Japan's hilly landscape. The eye-catching black-gray glaze with a hammered look tastefully accentuates the vibrant green of the matcha. The 12 cm x 8 cm bowl has a volume of approximately 430 ml. The set also includes a bamboo matcha broom (chasen) with 80 bristles, a bamboo spoon (chashaku), a broom holder and 30 g of organic matcha* from southern Japan, Mie Prefecture. The broom holder preserves the bristle shape, and the spoon allows easy portioning of the powder.

The focus of our "Tetsu" (Japanese for "iron") tea ceremony set is the matcha bowl with its deliberately irregular shape and wavy rim, which represents the hilly landscape of Japan. The black-grey glaze with a pronounced hammer effect allows the intense green of the Matcha to come into its own. The relatively large bowl has a diameter of 12 cm and a height of 8 cm. With a volume of approx. 435 ml, the bowl offers enough space to whip the matcha tea until it is foamy.

The bamboo matcha whisk, also called chasen, included in the set is an essential accessory for preparing matcha tea. It has 80 bristles and allows the matcha tea to be beaten with a firm and handsome foam. After use, simply rinse the bamboo broom with lukewarm water and place it on the broom holder provided with the bristles pointing downwards. The special shape of the holder ensures that the bristles are protected and keep their shape longer. With the traditional bamboo spoon (chashaku), the Matcha powder is optimally dosed into the bowl (1 heaped spoon corresponds to 1g).

The set is completed by a 30g zip bag with original Japanese organic Matcha* from Mie Prefecture in southern Japan.
