The "Kuro" tea ceremony set consists of a handcrafted, unique matcha bowl with an irregular shape and undulating rim that reflects Japan's hilly landscape. The glossy, jet-black glaze contrasts with the intense green of the matcha. With a volume of about 430 ml, the bowl offers enough space for frothy matcha tea.

Included in the set are a bamboo whisk (chasen) with 80 bristles for perfect matcha foam, a bamboo spoon (chashaku) for optimal dosing (1 heaping spoon = 1g) and a 30g zip bag of original Japanese organic matcha from southern Japan. The enclosed broom holder protects the bristles of the chasen. Ideal for matcha beginners and casual drinkers.

The focal point of our "Kuro" (Japanese for "black") tea ceremony set is the handcrafted Matcha bowl in a classic design, which draws everyone's attention with its deliberately irregular shape and the wavy edge, which represents the hilly landscape of Japan. The thickly applied, shiny deep black glaze underlines and contrasts the intense green of the Matcha. The relatively large bowl has a diameter of 12 cm and a height of 8 cm. With a volume of approx. 435 ml, the bowl offers enough space to whip the matcha tea until it is foamy.

Each matcha bowl is unique in color and shape. The handmade individual pieces may differ slightly from the photos in terms of color of the glaze and structure.

The bamboo matcha whisk, also called chasen, included in the set is an essential accessory for preparing matcha tea. It has 80 bristles and allows the matcha tea to be beaten with a firm and handsome foam. After use, simply rinse the bamboo broom with lukewarm water and place it on the broom holder provided with the bristles pointing downwards. The special shape of the holder ensures that the bristles are protected and keep their shape longer. With the traditional bamboo spoon (chashaku), the Matcha powder is optimally dosed into the bowl (1 heaped spoon corresponds to 1g).

The set is completed by a 30g zip bag with original Japanese organic Matcha* from Mie Prefecture in southern Japan.
