The centerpiece of the tea ceremony set "Menouseki" (jap. "agate") is the green iridescent matcha bowl with its wavy rim representing the hilly landscape of Japan. Its color skillfully rounds out the intense green of the matcha. With a volume of about 430 ml, the bowl is relatively large and offers generous space to whip the matcha tea nice and frothy.

Also included in the set are: A bamboo whisk (called Chasen in the original) with 80 bristles as well as the traditional bamboo spoon (Chashaku) for easy portioning of the matcha powder. The set is rounded off by 30g of original Japanese organic matcha from the south of Japan.

The focal point of our "Menouseki" (Japanese: "Agate") tea ceremony set is the iridescent green Matcha bowl with its deliberately irregular shape and wavy rim, which represents the hilly landscape of Japan. The green of the bowl skilfully rounds off the intense green of the Matcha. The relatively large bowl has a diameter of 12 cm and a height of 8 cm. With a volume of approx. 435 ml, the bowl offers enough space to whip the matcha tea until it is foamy.

The bamboo matcha whisk, also called chasen, included in the set is an essential accessory for preparing matcha tea. It has 80 bristles and allows the matcha tea to be beaten with a firm and handsome foam. After use, simply rinse the bamboo broom with lukewarm water and place it on the broom holder provided with the bristles pointing downwards. The special shape of the holder ensures that the bristles are protected and keep their shape longer. With the traditional bamboo spoon (chashaku), the Matcha powder is optimally dosed into the bowl (1 heaped spoon corresponds to 1g).

The set is completed by a 30g zip bag with original Japanese organic Matcha* from Mie Prefecture in southern Japan.
