Genmaicha is derived from the Japanese "Genmai" for roasted rice and "Cha" for tea. Genmaicha means "rice tea" and is a traditional Japanese green tea preparation made from green tea and roasted and puffed rice. The roasted rice gives the tea delicate, malty-sweet roasted aromas, which harmonize perfectly with the fine tart note of Sencha. Even if you don't really like green tea, Genmaicha is a healthy alternative to coffee. The roasted aromas are discreetly reminiscent of coffee and soften the tart taste of green tea, which is sometimes perceived as bitter. Our Genmaicha from controlled organic cultivation contains 70% Sencha, a particularly high proportion of high-quality green tea and thus also much more of the valuable secondary plant substances and essential oils than the 50/50 ratio that is often used. Ingredients such as theobromine and theophylline interact with the caffeine they contain and make the effect more subtle and lasting than the kick of coffee. Therefore Gemaicha is very well tolerated and easily digestible.
