This traditional tea cup is handmade from high quality chinese celadon ware, and is fired in a special process which gives the teapot and cups its special, unique surface structure.

What is special is that the cracks in the structure change slightly in color everytime tea is used with the cup. The color change is very subles in various tones like soft golds. That makes this cup a living product that changes with the users habits and thus can tell a Story.

At the bottom of the tea bowl is the motif "Sunflower", one of five animal symbols with a special meaning in Asian culture:
The turtle stands for long life and health, the Koi for a harmonious marriage, the plum blossom symbolizes the five blessings of longevity, health, prosperity, virtue and a fulfilled life. The sunflower, in turn, symbolizes Peace.

Not suitable for microwave or dishwasher.
