Tea ceremony set "Burashi" presents a black matcha bowl with irregular shape and wavy edge, symbolic of Japan's hilly landscape. White and bluish brush dots on midnight black tastefully emphasize the bright green of the matcha. Measuring 12x8 cm, the bowl holds approximately 430 ml. Also included in the set are an 80-bristle bamboo matcha whisk (chasen) for whipping the tea, a protective whisk holder, and a bamboo spoon (chashaku) for easy portioning (1 go spoon ≈ 1g). The set is rounded off by 30g of organic matcha from southern Japan's Mie Prefecture, certified in accordance with EG-Öko-VO by AGRECO DE-ÖKO-012.

The focal point of our "Burashi" (Japanese for "brushstroke") tea ceremony set is the black Matcha bowl with its deliberately irregular shape and wavy rim, which represents the hilly landscape of Japan. The black glaze, on which white-bluish brush dabs were applied by hand, allows the intensive green of the Matcha to come into its own. The relatively large bowl has a diameter of 12 cm and a height of 8 cm. With a volume of approx. 430 ml, the bowl offers enough space to whip the matcha tea until it is foamy.

The bamboo matcha whisk, also called chasen, included in the set is an essential accessory for preparing matcha tea. It has 80 bristles and allows the matcha tea to be beaten with a firm and handsome foam. After use, simply rinse the bamboo broom with lukewarm water and place it on the broom holder provided with the bristles pointing downwards. The special shape of the holder ensures that the bristles are protected and keep their shape longer. With the traditional bamboo spoon (chashaku), the Matcha powder is optimally dosed into the bowl (1 heaped spoon corresponds to 1g).

The set is completed by a 30g zip bag with original Japanese organic Matcha* from Mie Prefecture in southern Japan.
